What this site is

Nonprofit Figures is an independent information service. It presents figures that tax-exempt organizations reported to the Internal Revenue Service and that the IRS publishes as open data. Not a charity rating or endorsement. Not tax or legal advice. Not affiliated with the Internal Revenue Service or any government agency.

Not an official extract

Nothing here is an official IRS record or a certified copy. Figures are as reported by the organizations; the IRS's own processing can adjust them, and the source files can be corrected after we download them. Each page shows the date of the download. Confirm tax-exempt status and deductibility in the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search before you rely on them.

Calculated values are not assessments

Ratios, percentile positions and lists of similar organizations are arithmetic on reported figures, explained on themethodology page. They describe a position in a group. They do not measure quality, need, efficiency or trustworthiness, and no score, star or grade is attached to any organization.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of the content, including gifts, grants, hiring or investment decisions.

Consumer reports

Nonprofit Figures is not a consumer reporting agency and nothing published here is a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This information may not be used to determine anyone's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

Use of the content

The underlying data are works of the U.S. government and in the public domain. The selection, calculations and text of this site may be quoted with a link to the page. Automated collection at a rate that affects the service is not permitted; the data are available from the IRS directly.

Corrections and removal

Organizations and individuals can ask for a correction or for removal without giving a reason through thecontact form. Removal requests are handled within 30 days. See theprivacy notice for details.
